Witness a week-long chain of events jumpstarted by a chance meeting in a latte bar one Monday evening. Before she returns to her homeland the following Sunday, Marilyne is bound by a promise from her friend Vanena that Marilyne must "experience" a black man before she leaves. More realistic than all the reality T.V programs
This is more of an art film that's why though. Basically it spans 4 days and is the story of a black women from West Africa (maryline) who has come to America and through meeting Jon Marc (creator and Chuck D's cousin) via a friend says she's never experienced a black man before only white. Richard black isn't a character or a person in the film, black meaning colour and Richard meaning the long form of a nick name (and if you haven't already guessed it's dick). So Jon Marc goes and tries to find a black man for her. This film is totally candid and was filmed unknowingly to those who were participating which makes for good viewing. If you have a grudge for watching reality T.V then this is good because it doesn't try to be what reality T.V is mostly. it's more than just a movie about blind dates and becomes very surprising. Well worth watching
